Organized Mess!

I used to use canary yellow Post-it® Notes for EVERYTHING! Which worked fantastic for me, but not so much for anyone else. It was impossible to figure out which note went with what and lots of notes got lost in the shuffle. But you know how it is -- you don’t want throw any of the notes away because you might need that info later! It was definitely time to get my organized mess cleaned up. That’s how I came up with these 4 easy ways to be a note hoarder AND stay organized.

1 Use Lists

4" x 6" Lined Post-it® Notes (SKU: 660-3SSUC) are for all of my To-Dos and To-Gets. I diligently work on my To-Do lists and cross off items when I’ve completed them and then throw that list away and start from the beginning. This is great to use when I’ve got more than one project going on at the same time because I can use a different design for each project. My To-Get lists stick around a bit longer until I have a complete list, because as you know, it is not very effective to keep running to the store for one item.

2 Color-Code

The color-coding system integrates really well with all the notes you take throughout the day. I like to use Post-it® Super Sticky Recycled Notes (SKU: 654-12SSNRP) because the "Nature's Hues colors" are nice and soothing AND keep me organized. I use a different color for each subject or project I have going on. This makes it super easy to find.

3 The Original: Post-it® Canary Yellow

I like to stick with my trusty Post-it® canary yellow notes (SKU: 654-12YW) for phone messages only. They are bright and I'm used to looking for them. After all, 3M canary yellow notes are the original Post-it® Notes. I jot down names and numbers that I have to remember and stick them right by my phone.

4 Brighten Someone's Day

Not all the notes I write at work are serious! I’ve discovered the ultra chic Pop-up Notes (SKU: R333-FLW) in flower shapes and colors for all of my fun notes. I use them to stick a congratulatory note or a happy birthday note on co-workers’ desks. They are cute and it really picks up someone’s day when they get one.
